Description
When Amberley-Jayne swaps her quiet Yorkshire village for a glossy London school obsessed with image and influence, she's instantly out of place. Surrounded by designer bags, social media cliques, and students chasing likes instead of dreams, AJ feels invisible - until one impulsive Hi-5 post goes viral.
Overnight, 'AJintheCity' becomes a sensation. Follower counts soar, invites from the cool crowd flood in, and for the first time, she feels seen. But as the likes keep coming, so do the pressures - to look perfect, to stay relevant, to be someone she's not.
When her online persona begins to take over, AJ finds herself caught between two worlds: the filtered, flawless life she's built on screen, and the messy, authentic one she's slowly losing sight of. As secrets surface and friendships are tested, she must decide who she really wants to be - the influencer everyone adores, or the girl brave enough to be real.
Funny, fast-paced, and thought-provoking, Miss Influential is a modern tale about friendship, fame, and self-discovery in the age of social media - and a reminder that the best version of yourself doesn't need a filter.
