Description

Mars has long served as a screen upon which we project our dreams, hopes and fears. Each chapter of this text takes a different concept; such as the depiction of women, othering, fears of government or environmental issues; and examines how that concept has been depicted in movies about Mars. Covering a vast array of movies ranging from Soviet propaganda to Hollywood blockbusters, we thoroughly explore how society has evolved, our hopes of where it is going, and the dangers humanity faces from both within and without. A complete filmography complements the text and offers a concise summary of each film discussed.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
