About the Author
Ian Walford is a former chief executive of Historic Scotland who is passionately interested in the so-called 'Dark Ages' of the British Isles. In his first novel he has shone a light on this fascinating period. Other novels are in the pipeline. Ian is married and has two grown-up children. He lives in Scotland. Among his interests, he delights in cycling and follows the fortunes of Aston Villa Football Club.
