About the Author
Lucy Hamidzadeh is a photographer and writer from south east London with a deep affection for unpredictable weather and the hustle and bustle of city life. Her early career was spent with the Monarch Travel Group, where she spent 20 years honing her skill as a writer and developing her penchant for travel and photography. A true street photographer, Lucy is in constant motion, often walking 10 miles a day in search of those flickers that catch her eye: people on the streets, in trains and at cafes. Her talent for capturing small, otherwise unseen moments of daily life is as arresting as it is spontaneous. With her camera and her words, this gifted photographer creates sensitive portraits of the strangers we pass every day, leaving us to imagine the details of their stories.
