Reviews
"Barrett is the right person to edit this collection: he is an accomplished biographer of early Roman imperial personalities ... .A time line, family trees, informative maps, a few significant illustrations, useful glossary, and an adequate index fortify the text. Recommended." (Choice Reviews, October 2008)
"A great treat for those who already know the general outline of the history of the Roman Empire. Excellent writers [and] well-planned. A coherent unit." (About.com)
