About the Author
Growing up through the 1980s James was surrounded by the Pop hits of the day and soon became fascinated with the Pop stars and Musicians that played through the TV and Radio. Here he started searching for something more satisfying and moved through to soul music, jazz, and rhythm and blues. It was Funk however that really got James's attention and from here he never looked back. James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament and Prince all captured this perfectly. James loved the way that these groups and individuals brought together a strong melody, chord progressions, rhythmic groove of a bass line and drums. All these factors were then for the first time brought to the foreground. Funk was found and once discovered, James was hooked. James started writing extensively on Prince through various platforms and it wasn't long before he had amassed a significant stockpile of material worthy of a Biography. Over the years James has collected an enviable catalogue of Prince Vinyl Records, CDs, Tapes, Cassette, DVDs and Memorabilia. The Biography was finally completed in 2018. James is delighted to have joined New Haven Publishing and is already working towards new Biographies.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
