Luis Maldonado hizo estudios graduados en Literatura Comparada en la Universidad de Puerto Rico y obtuvo su doctorado en Literatura Latinoamericana en la Universidad de Georgetown. Ha impartido clases en Emory University Middlebury College y actualmente trabaja como profesor asociado en Southern Methodist University. La retórica de la herida refleja sus intereses investigativos por la teoría literaria, la cultura mediática, y los discursos nacionales y biopolíticos. Ha publicado artículos en diversas revistas académicas y ha participado en conferencias en los Estados Unidos, Inglaterra, México, Japón, Canadá y Brasil. Como consecuencia de su trabajo en este libro, Maldonado formó parte del radio documental Brand Cuba, producido por BBC World.

Luis Maldonado graduated in Comparative Literature at the University of Puerto Rico and obtained his doctorate in Latin American Literature at Georgetown University. He has taught at Emory University Middlebury College and currently works as an associate professor at Southern Methodist University. La retórica de la herida (The rhetoric of the wound) reflects his investigative interests in literary theory, media culture, and national and biopolitical discourses. He has published articles in various academic journals and has participated in conferences in the United States, England, Mexico, Japan, Canada, and Brazil. As a consequence of his work on this book, Maldonado was part of the radio documentary Brand Cuba, produced by BBC World.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
