Knaresborough has a fascinating history which goes back to the days of King John and beyond, but this book concentrates on the last one hundred years or so of the town's life. About the Author
The author, Dr Arnold Kellett, was a well-known writer and speaker on Knaresborough, where he twice served as mayor, and of which town he was made a Freeman in 2001. His historical research has been recognised by several awards and his various publications included Historic Knaresborough (1991), Mother Shipton: Witch and Prophetess (2002) and King James School, Knaresborough (2003)
