Description

New in the hilarious JOHNNY BALL series, shortlisted for the Children's Sports Book Award.

Johnny Ball, 9-year-old football manager, has a new challenge: to take the Tissbury Tigers all the way, and win the WORLDIES! But superstar striker Daniel is injured and the squad is FOUR players short. So Johnny is switching his football brain into travel mode - here comes Johnny Ball, INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL GENIUS!

About the Author

Matt Oldfield grew up in Southampton, playing football with his brother Tom. The two brothers are the authors of the bestselling Ultimate Football Heroes series - fun football biographies that tell the exciting life stories of superstars like Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi and Mo Salah, from the playground through to the pitch. The Johnny Ball books are Matt's first fiction series.
Tim Wesson draws in for both children and adults. He illustrates for France Magazine every month and has also illustrated for other clients including Habitat, SWATCH, Paperchase, BBC, Peagreen and many others.

Reviews
Full of hilarious moments and some nail-biting ones, this story, with Tim Wesson's rib-tickling black and white illustrations, will most certainly be a winner with young soccer enthusiasts. * Red Reading Hub *
This series is a fantastically funny look at the 'beautiful game' through the eyes of a brilliant tactician, who is just not that good at playing the actual game. These adventures will resonate not only with young players, but also with the parents who find themselves waiting on the sidelines. * The English Association *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
