As a member of the original Batman team, he created the first and most iconic of all supervillains, the Joker, and cocreated Robin, the archetypal sidekick. About the Author
N.C. Christopher Couch is a writer, editor, curator and teacher. He holds a Ph. D. in art history from Columbia University, and has taught art history at Amherst, Columbia, Hampshire, Smith and Mount Holyoke. He currently teaches the history of graphic novels at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Jerry Robinson, the subject of this book, is an author, artist and acknowledged master of American comics and cartooning.
