About the Author
N.C. Christopher Couch is a writer, editor, curator and teacher. He holds a Ph. D. in art history from Columbia University, and has taught art history at Amherst, Columbia, Hampshire, Smith and Mount Holyoke. He currently teaches the history of graphic novels at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Jerry Robinson, the subject of this book, is an author, artist and acknowledged master of American comics and cartooning. Pete Hamill is an award-winning novelist, essayist and journalist whose columns and reportage have appeared in the Daily News, the New York Post, and Esquire and whose fiction and nonfiction titles are New York Times bestsellers. Dennis O'Neil is an award-winning comics professional and has taught at the School of Visual Arts. Among his many credits is his influential work as writer and editor of the Batman comics.
