He has written a number of books, including Dutch Graphic Design, New Poster Art, Creative Type, Piet Mondrian: The Studios and Sans Serif, all published by Thames & Hudson. Alston W Purvis is an American graphic designer, artist, professor and author. Martijn F. Le Coultre is a Dutch notary and poster collector. He is the most important author in the Netherlands of books in the field of posters. Richard B. Doubleday is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Graphic Design at Louisiana State University's School of Art.
