Subhas Anandan passed away on 7 January 2015 at the age of 68. He was Singapore'sthe best-known criminal lawyer, having led several landmark cases that shapedthe face of criminal law in Singapore. The first volume of his autobiography TheBest I Could was published in 2009 and covered many sensational cases tohis views on the mandatory death sentence and 'police entrapment'. In this second volume It's Easy toCry, this foremost champion of pro bono work moves away from depictinggruesome murders and delves instead into the emotions behind the crimes. He writesabout cases where deep and complex emotions are displayed, like the mother wholied and pleaded guilty to save her son. He also shares his thoughts on themany people who have affected him in one way of the other and the legal systemin Singapore.

About the Author
Subhas Anandan headed the Criminal Law department in KhattarWong forseveral years before moving on to RHTLaw Taylor Wessing. A renowned criminallawyer in Singapore, he is credited with the conduct of several landmark casesthat have shaped the face of criminal law in Singapore. He handled well over1500 criminal cases from murder and kidnapping to drug trafficking, and defended those involved in white-collar crimes and arrested under theInternal Security Act (ISA). In 2001, he was awarded the Legal Eagle Award by the Law Society ofSingapore. In 2014 he was honoured by the Association of Muslim Lawyers(Singapore) for championing pro bono work. The Yellow Ribbon Fund SubhasAnandan Star Bursary Award" was also launched to provide financial support toex-inmates who wish to pursue further education.

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…
