Reviews

"This introduction to Business English covers an impressively wide scope including its history, characteristics, use, users, and teaching. The information is most up to date and presented in a highly accessible style. The glossing of key concepts and terms in the text is extraordinarily helpful. A must-read for anyone interested in Business English or seeking guidance on research-informed practice in their Business English classroom!"
Zuocheng Zhang, University of New England, Australia

"Moving beyond a traditional textbook, this volume skillfully combines up-to-date theory with practical strategies for the Business English classroom. The authors are well-known experts of BE, ESBP and ESP at large. The chapters cover a wide range of workplace settings, from face-to-face meetings to contemporary web-based communication. This book offers a novel hands-on approach to teaching English as the lingua franca of business, and is an invaluable resource for all students and practitioners within the field."
Ulla M. Connor, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, USA

"This book is a welcome and long-overdue addition to the field of Business English, providing an extremely comprehensive and authoritative introduction for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and language teachers. The authors, both highly regarded researchers and practitioners in the field, cover a wide range of key topics and current issues, drawing on a wide international base of teaching and research contexts to do so."
Pamela Rogerson-Revell, University of Leicester, UK

"Introducing Business English is an outstanding guide to teaching BELF. Additionally, the two authors have remarkably synthesised both theory and practice in a way that can be accessible to multiple readers, from researchers to practitioners or students, and be implementedin the Business English classroom."
Alvaro Subero-Saenz, Hubei University of Science and Technology, China, in English for Specific Purposes Journal

"This book offers and exhaustive overview of Business English research and its implementation in the classroom. It emphasizes the idea that research findings should inform teaching. Special emphasis is placed on the use of authentic spoken and written Business English and the close relationship between these forms of communication."

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
