Reviews
"Innovative Internal Communication sets the stage for practicality in the most stimulating way. Beginning with a well-researched "state of the industry" to ground us in the challenges and obstacles we all face regularly, Joanna then methodically and intentionally provides tangible, clear examples and actual, functional solutions to break down barriers and make room for innovation no matter the circumstances. I have pages and pages of notes and my mind is still buzzing with all the possibilities of applying these learnings into my work in both the short term and long term. A must read for any internal communicator." * Laura Kennedy, Director, Team Member Communications, Life Time *
"Internal Communications has been a misunderstood and ill-defined profession since the beginning. Even those of us who do it for a living have had a hard time explaining what we do, much less defining the business value of it. Until now. Joanna is a wonderfully talented voice in our profession, with the uncanny ability to cut right to chase and the audacity to believe that internal communications can actually be innovative. This work is refreshing, provocative, honest and from the heart." * Jason Anthoine, Managing Founder, Audacity *

"In Innovative Internal Communication, Joanna challenges internal communicators to move beyond restrictive models of best practice, step out of our comfort zone and use innovation to ensure we can deliver great outcomes, rather than tactical outputs. "Don't let the title of this book fool you. It's not about how to be more innovative in your internal communication in terms of your channels and technology. It's much more about how you can be more curious as an internal communicator. Joanna discusses what innovation really is and how curiosity and measurement go hand in hand. It is a great read for anyone getting started in internal communication, looking to understand the importance of asking the right questions and having the right mindset to lead internal communication in the future." * Jenni Field, CEO and Founder of Redefining Communications *
