While considerable attention has been focused on how information technologies (IT) are affecting particular industrialized nations, the broader implications of the Information Revolution have begun to be appreciated only in the past few years. MEHEROO JUSSAWALLA is Research Economist with the Institute of Culture and Communication at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is the author of Communications Economics and Development and Communication and Information Economics: New Perspectives, the co-compiler of Telecommunications Economics and International Regulatory Policy: An Annotated Bibliography (Greenwood Press, 1986), The Calculus of International Communications, and has written numerous related articles.
