Description

i) Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a variety of misinformation has elicited worries about an “infodemic,” the information overload that prevents people from identifying the authenticity of information. This book provides a timely contribution to the extant literature from comprehensively and systematically conceptualizing this “infodemic” in the context of COVID-19. This will be one of the very first scholarly attempts to review the concept of “infodemic,” in addition to WHO’s initial proposal and subsequent empirical studies, which were rather sporadic and case specific.

ii) The “post-truth era” has attracted worldwide scholarly attentions whilst few systematic conceptualizations and investigations have been generated. This book fills this gap by conceptualizing the “post-truth era,” making readerships aware of the unique characteristics of the era we live in, as well as the ways in which individuals can better situate themselves in such an era. The concept of the “post-truth era” will presumably be a focus of scholarly discussion and attention for a long time, and my book will have the potential to become a highly cited work.

iii) This research utilizes a variety of sources and materials, including newspaper coverage, tweets, survey data, and interview transcript.

iv) This research utilizes mixed methodology, consisting of computational content analysis, quantitative survey studies, and qualitative interviews. Such analytical strategy not only guarantees the robustness of the research but will also attract readerships with diversified academic backgrounds.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
