About the Author
Claude Oestges is Associate Professor with the Institute for Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics (Universite catholique de Louvain). His research interests cover wireless and satellite communications, with a specific focus on channel characterization and modeling. He is the author or co-author of two books and more than 170 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings. Francois QUITIN received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Brussels, Belgium and from the Universite catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium in 2011, and his M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from ULB in 2007. In 2016 he joined the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) as an Assistant Professor. He was granted the Alcatel-Lucent Bell Scientific Award 2012 for most innovative thesis in ICT in Belgium in 2012. He also received the WoWMoM 2012 conference best demo award and the EuCAP 2009 best propagation poster paper award. His research is focused on implementing new techniques and methods in signal processing on hardware testbeds, identifying and solving the challenges that occur when going from theory to implementation.
