Recent ideas concerning the development of self and identity have stressed the importance of moving away from an approach which is mainly concerned with outcomes, to one which focuses instead on processes of development and, more specifically, on a relational perspective on these processes. About the Author
Harke A. Bosma is Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Groningen where he lectures in adolescent psychology with responsibility for research and teaching in this area. E. Saskia Kunnen is Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Utrecht where she researches and lectures in the areas of personal development in adolescence and adulthood, and application of dynamic systems theory and models in this field.
