Reviews
Identifying and Growing Internal Leaders: A Framework for Effective Teacher Leadership provides a clear outline, connected with teacher leader standards, for emerging leaders to grow professionally through learning, evaluation and accountability. As a public school teacher for almost 20 years, this book is a much needed resource! -- Alisa M. Strike, Music Specialist, School District of Hillsborough County, Tampa, Florida
Teacher Leadership, implemented thoughtfully, represents an exciting opportunity for schools to explore and use the talents and expertise of teachers, in a collaborative leadership culture, to improve teaching and learning for students. -- Roger L. Eddy, Executive Director Illinois Association of School Boards
As a teacher leader, I felt I was straddling between two worlds- but not really in either. I wasn't a classroom teacher- but I wasn't a principal. Identifying and Growing Internal Leaders helps us navigate that divide and offers practical and specific job targets, professional development and evaluation to clearly reflect and support this emerging and critical role. -- Julie Davis, Ed.D. Executive Director, Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators
