About the Author

Anthony McGowan is the author of many critically acclaimed YA novels including Hellbent, Henry Tumour and The Knife that Killed Me. His Barrington Stoke titles include the Carnegie Medal shortlisted Rook and the 2020 Carnegie Medal winner Lark which the judges described as "a standalone masterpiece".

Chris Riddell is an award-winning artist, illustrator, and occasional writer of children's books. His own fiction, namely the Ottoline and Goth Girl series, were a great success, with Chris winning three Nestle Smarties Book prizes. Chris was appointed the UK Children's Laureate in 2015, a role which he used to promote the joy of drawing, doodling and telling stories. Chris has also collaborated with a many prominent authors including Paul Stewart on the best-selling fantasy series, The Edge Chronicles; and former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen on A Great Big Cuddle: Poems for the Very Young. Chris lives in Brighton and works as a political cartoonist for The Observer.

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
