About the Author

Allison Sweet Grant, graduate with dual master's degrees from the University of Michigan, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner, turned author. She has been published in the New York Times and The Atlantic. She is also the author of two children's picture books, Leif and the Fall and The Gift Inside the Box. Introvert, synesthete, and chronic Luddite, Allison can usually be found at home rewatching a film she has already seen ten times. Allison lives with her husband and their three children just outside of Philadelphia. I Am the Cage is her debut novel.
