About the Author
Ngugi wa Thiong'o was born in Limuru, Kenya in 1938 and was educated at Makerere University College and the University of Leeds. He is internationally renowned for his novels, short stories, plays, and non-fiction. He wrote Homecoming while teaching at the University of Nairobi before being imprisoned by the Kenyan government in 1977 due to his work's strong political messages. Since then, he has been the recipient of over ten honourary doctorates and received numerous awards for his literary and non-fiction work. His novel, The Perfect Nine was longlisted for the 2021 International Booker Prize. He is a perennial favourite to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
