Description
The chapters cover a wide range of areas of the north and west of Scotland, each packed with insights into the geology of the mountains and perceptive notes on the hardy wildlife encountered. There are fierce battles with the elements and days of high adventure. Old friends are not neglected and readers who laughed at the colourful exploits of the Jolly Boys in The Making of a Hillwalker will be delighted at the chance to enjoy more of their memorable trips.
And throughout it all, Jack's deep passion for our northern wilderness permeates every page of this treasure of a book.
