About the Author

PER OLOV QVIST is former editor of the film journal Filmhaftet. He received his doctorate in film from the University of Stockholm.

PETER VON BAGH is film historian, author, and documentarist. He has worked for The Finnish Film Archive (1967-85), is editor-in-chief of film journal Filmihullu (sonce 1971), and artistic director of The Midnight Sun Film Festival (since 1986).
