About the Author

Deirdre Curley grew up on the Isle of Skye, and moved to Glasgow at the age of 16 to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Following a stint of acting training in New York she discovered she was pregnant. Deirdre, now aged 27, works for the British Heart Foundation Scotland and lives in Glasgow with her husband and young son. Deirdre started writing Growing Up Pregnant, A Young Woman's Journey To Motherhood with the intention to support and empower other young women in a similar position.
