Description

"I was meant to come to Barlewin, but i was never meant to stay."

The half-forgotten streets of Barlewin, in the shadow of the High Track, are a good place to hide: among the aliens and the couriers, the robots and the doubles, where everyone has secrets. Like Eva, a 3D-printed copy of another woman, built to be disposable. She should have disintegrated days ago... and she hasn't. And now her creator wants her back.

About the Author
DJ Daniels is an Australian author and musician. She writes when she manages to get her husband and two daughters out of the house and during lulls in the on-going dog-lizard war. (Lizards are well ahead). Her first novel, What the Dead Said, was followed by a raft of short stories which have appeared in publications such as Aurealis, Andromeda Spaceways Magazine, and So It Goes. She was a judge for the 2012 Aurealis Awards and is one of the Sydney Story Factor's Ambassadors of Ink.

Reviews

"The book probes the nature of sentience thought-provokingly, while also depicting a richly imagined, thoroughly lived-in world... a striking and memorable novel." -- SFX Magazine

"Daniels' novel earns its comparisons to Philip K. Dick... this is a story that explores what it means to be real, to be human - and to be neither." -- Jeff Somers, Barnes & Noble SF&F Blog

Great experience and I have zero concerns. They communicated through the shipping process and if there was any hiccups in it, they let me know. Books arrived in perfect condition as well as being fairly priced. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely shop here again!

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
