Yannis Tzioumakis is reader in film and media industries at the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom). He is the author of five books, most recently Acting Indie: Industry, Aesthetics, Performance (co-authored with Cynthia Baron; Palgrave, 2020), and co-editor of six collections of essays, most recently United Artists (Routledge, 2020). He is currently co-editing the collection Indie TV: Industry, Aesthetics and Medium Specificity for Routledge, while authoring a book on Hollywood films in Greece in the 1950s and 1960s. He has also published articles in several journals, including Screen; Film History; Velvet Light Trap; New Review of Film and Television Studies; International Journal of Media and Cultural Politics; and Studies in Documentary Film. Yannis also co-edits two book series: the 'Routledge Hollywood Centenary' and 'Cinema and Youth Cultures' (both for Routledge). Lydia Papadimitriou is reader in film studies at Liverpool John Moores University. She has published extensively on different aspects of Greek and Balkan cinema, often with an emphasis on industry-related questions and in areas such as (digital) film (and television) distribution, co-productions, film festivals and documentary. She is the author of The Greek Film Musical (2006) and co-editor of Greek Cinema: Texts, Forms and Identities (2011). She is principal editor of the Journal of Greek Media and Culture and has co-edited a number of special issues, including for 'New Review of Film and Television Studies'. Her journal publications have appeared in Screen; Studies of European Cinema; International Journal of Media Management; New Review of Film and Television Studies, among others.
