About the Author
Petrea Honychurch Seaman was born and grew up on the Caribbean island of Dominica, before moving to the US where she studied landscape architecture. Back in Dominica, she began to write children's fiction inspired by her two young daughters, both great readers and explorers of this lush and mountainous island. She is also a trained website and graphic designer. Good Night My Sweet Island - her first book - is a homage to her homeland. She currently lives in Jamaica with her husband and children. Susanne Heitz was born in Germany but has spent much of her life in the Caribbean. Trained at the Hochschule for Fine Art and Design in Hannover, Germany, she has illustrated several children's books and her art can be found internationally in galleries and private homes. Her love of nature and vibrant colours are key elements in her work. The mother of five children and grandmother to five, she now lives in Dominica, Barbados and Germany - with her husband and a couple of cats.
