Description

'A swashbuckling, sparkling world of a novel' Suzannah Dunn Thrilling Regency romance, set against an Outlander-like background of passion and war, this will delight lovers of Poldark and Bridgerton. 1817 Cornwall and London In a family scorched by scandal and scarred by war, Crow, the Earl of Lamorna, is as self-destructive as he is charismatic, and it will only take one spark to set his world aflame. So when Crow's young brother catches him in flagrante with their widowed stepmother, a lethal chain of events is set in motion. Heiress Hester Harewood is on the run from the men who shot her father. The last thing she needs is a complicated aristocrat offering her his protection. But who is more dangerous? Those she is running from? Or Crow himself? For Crow is glamorous and unpredictable, yet capable of such tenderness that Hester's heart is in as much danger as her life... Game of Hearts was previously published as False Lights by K.J. Whittaker and on Kindle as Hester and Crow by Katy Moran.

Thrilling Regency romance, set in a Bridgerton-style world.

Reviews
Excellent writing and characterization... with special mention for Hester: a fizzing-with-life, believable and resourceful heroine if ever there was one * Daily Mail *
Lush, dark, utterly real and, above all, achingly romantic -- Ruth Ware
A wonderfully thrilling, sweeping, romantic historical adventure that keeps you gripped until the last page -- Rowan Coleman
A heart-stopping, explosive romp through what might so easily have been, delightfully packed with desperate deeds and derring-do. More, please -- Holly Hepburn
Badly behaved aristocrats, gloriously opinionated women and danger at every turn * i newspaper *
Thrilling... Rugged scenery combined with even more rugged leading men and feisty leading ladies makes this a book that one can easily compare to Poldark... The intensity of the plot is only amplified by quite how much she makes you care about the characters it revolves around' * The Bookbag *
Witty, exciting and heartfelt, the book had me hooked * Roaring Bookworm *
An historical novel at its best... With fantastic characters like the strong heroine Hester and the charismatic Crow the author doesn't disappoint... You cannot ask for more in a novel of this genre. 5*' -- Rachel Bustin
Readers will follow the story with bated breath to see what will happen next, as we cross over to various characters and their stories * Our First Year Here *
A fascinating story with plenty of unexpected events, gripping scenes, treachery, bloody battles and political intrigues... A fantastic compelling story' * With Love for Books *
With a complex plot, high stakes and rip rolling adventure - as well as Hester, a fantastic main character - I actually couldn't put this down * Roaring Bookworm *
Those who like their action on the swashbuckling side will enjoy this fabulous debut set in a world in which Napoleon won the Battle of Waterloo. A cross between Georgette Heyer, Dorothy Dunnett and Poldark * i newspaper *
A swashbuckling, sparkling world of a novel, breathtakingly tender, with a mad, bad and dangerous-to-know hero -- Suzannah Dunn
The main characters, especially Crow and Hester, are well-drawn * Historical Novel Society *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
