Description

Medicare and hospital costs, housing, education and transport are the big issues of the day for many Australians. Why do health insurance premiums keep rising while health services decline? How can today's young families afford to buy decent homes when the cost of housing has risen so steeply? Is it possible to ensure that children get a good education, regardless of where they go to school? How can we commute from home to work without paying a small fortune? The one thing many voters agree on is that governments of all stripes could do a better job of solving these problems. In this refreshingly readable book, the authors outline a new approach to the major economic issues facing all Australians consumers and suggest more logical roles for government expenditure and intervention. Their challenging and insightful policy solutions will provide an opportunity for reform that many see as being long overdue. This is an informative and engaging book, full of fresh thinking.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
