Reviews

'In this gem of a reference book, Pressman (economics, Monmouth Univ.) summarizes the contributions of 50 key economists...The selection is historic, including nine economists born before 1800 as well as nine living economists. Economists from diverse political perspectives are included, all presented in a balanced manner...Such coverage is a welcome addition to textbook and popular treatments of economics that typically omit the history of economic thought. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Public and academic library collections at all levels.' - M H Maier, Glendale Community College in CHOICE

'Throughout the book, Dr. Pressman remains impartial and allows his readers to draw conclusions and make conceptual connections for themselves. Books that do this instead of hammering away at a thesis are welcome additions to any library. Historical literacy is increasingly recognized as a key component to a genuine understanding of the field.' - Adam Alonzi, theindianeconomist.com

'Fifty Major Economists is one of the most informative, comprehensive, well-researched and in-depth books that highlights the major contributions of the most famous economists. From Thomas Mun to Paul Krugman, from the sixteenth century to the twenty-first century, this book tells you everything you need to know about the major contributions of those economists who have shaped the very discipline. Dr Pressman has an easy, interesting, yet scholarly style. Whether you are a practicing economist, an economics faculty, student, or simply interested in learning about economics and what economists contribute to humans and society, this is your go-to book.' - Sanjukta Chaudhuri, Ph.D, University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, Department of Economics, United States

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
