About the Author
Mike Picker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Cape Town. His research on the insects of our arid regions has resulted in 130 publications and four guide books. He has a very broad knowledge of the natural history and ecology of the rich South African insect fauna. Charles Griffiths is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Cape Town. He has authored over 200 scientific papers, five other guide books to various components of the South African fauna, and has discovered over 100 species new to science. He is also a well-known wildlife photographer whose images have appeared in many books and magazines.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
