Description

Exposed - Leo Houlding presents the extraordinary life of one of the world's finest climbers, Leo Houlding. Leo is a world-class climber and adventurer who has led an incredible life, making a multitude of extreme ascents in all corners of the globe. Within this beautiful, large-format book, Leo's landmark endeavours are captured through breathtaking photography accompanied by the compelling stories behind the imagery.

Compiled by award-winning film-maker Alastair Lee, whose stunning photography accounts for much of the book, this is a labour of love that Alastair has always wanted to release. Only two copies of the very first edition were produced in 2020 as a 40th birthday present from Alastair to Leo. Exposed - Leo Houlding is the expanded edition of that initial idea.

The book presents Leo's most celebrated climbs, from his youngest first ascent of the Old Man of Hoy, aged 11, through to his expeditions to the likes of Queen Maud Land in Antarctica where Leo made the first ascent of Ulvetanna's north-east ridge. Accompanying the photographs is text by Leo himself, offering a unique insight into the stories behind the incredible shots.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
