Tessa Boase read English at Oxford, and has worked as a journalist and commissioning editor at the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph and Daily Mail. Her first book, The Housekeeper's Tale: The Women Who Really Run the English Country House was published by Aurum in 2014. She lives in Sussex with her husband and two children.
