Description

Educational leaders not only face moral and ethical decisions regarding their classrooms, schools, districts, and education institutions, but they also must consider the complexities and threats that impact their communities. In this unstable era of pandemics, natural disasters, and instability, this process is particularly daunting. Ethical Educational Leadership in Turbulent Times is an engaging, case-study based text that assists leaders in their ethical decision-making processes during a time of turbulence and uncertainty. The book is framed by Gross's Turbulence Theory and Shapiro and Stefkovich's Multiple Ethical Paradigms of justice, critique, care, and the profession. Presenting clear explanations of theory in combination with authentic dilemmas developed by practitioners, this book will assist leaders in dealing with challenging situations in their own settings. Ethical Educational Leadership in Turbulent Times 3rd Edition is a valuable book for both aspiring and practicing educational administrators and leaders.

Reviews

"J.P. Shapiro, Gross, and S.H. Shapiro hit the mark with Ethical Educational Leadership in Turbulent Times. We must teach aspiring leaders to make ethical decisions, and these authors give leaders tools for assessing the level of turbulence when making a decision, taking decision-making to a higher level."

Barbara. J. Erwin, Clinical Associate Professor Emerita, Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Indiana University, USA

"Shapiro, Gross, and Shapiro have thoroughly revised their critical text for leadership preparation. Aspiring school leaders practice ethical decision making by applying a comprehensive framework to engaging case studies. This text serves as the foundational resource for ethics training in our principal preparation program at Governors State University, and I highly recommend it for all leadership preparation programs!"

David Conrad, Associate Professor of Educational Administration and Assistant Dean, College of Education and Human Development, Governors State University, USA

"The third edition of the text joins the ideas of turbulence theory with the ethical paradigms of justice, care, critique and the profession. The unique blend of these concepts is enhanced through the practical realities explored in the multiple cases presented in the text, adding to the overall effectiveness of this volume."

Michael E. Dantley, Retired Dean of College of Health and Society and Professor Emeritus of Educational Leadership, Miami University, USA

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
