Description

Rainforests are one of Earth's most importan habitats. They are home to numerous plants and wildlife. Although not everyone lives near a rainforest, the actions of all are affecting these fragile ecosystems. What exactly is a rainforest? What are humans doing to harm them? What can readers do to help protect them? Endangered Rainforests answers these questions by engaging readers with lively text, graphic features and stunning photography. Readers will find out why protecting rainforests matters to them and the part they can play in protecting them.

Reviews
...the best part of the series is the set of critical thinking questions at the end of each volume. These questions provide the opportunity for Grades 3-4 students to look more deeply into issues and identify relationships as well as brainstorm ways in which humans can make a difference in protecting our endangered resources. * NSTA Recommends *
...these issues are important, and even if these introductions are stronger on general concepts than specific facts, they should stimulate enough concern to fuel further inquiry. * School Library Journal *
STARRED REVIEW! The colorful text is engaging, and features highlighted and defined keywords, photo illustrations, marginal insets, and a variety of interesting charts and graphs. Educators will approve of the Common Core connections and alignment with Next Generation Science Standards. Young readers will delight in the easy-to-use format of this series for their research needs. * School Library Connection *

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
