Germany, spring 1945. Hitler is dead and his armies crushed. In time, they would find themselves on the front line of the Cold War, as irreconcilable tensions divided Europe between East and West.

About the Author
Daniel Cowling is a historian and writer from Manchester with a particular interest in modern British and European history. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he wrote a thesis on the history of the British occupation of Germany. He works as a historian at the National Army Museum in London.
