About the Author
Debut author Sarah Lemon has worn a few hats: butchering wild game, working at a plastics factory, and small-town lawyer's paralegal all played a hand in her B.S. in Pre-Law, but then she spent three years wandering the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains instead. Sarah, now married and living on the Chesapeake Bay, currently spends her time herding her three kids under the age of five between adventures and nap time, and in her words "sacrificing sleep for the pursuit of words".

That said, there is indeed power in a staunch friendship, and each girl finds strength in having an unexpected ally, defender, and support... this is at the core a friend novel about two girls who deserve way, way better than life has dealt them and who are finally gaining the tools they need to grab it rather than wait for it. * Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books *
