About the Author
Professor Zhang Boli is an expert member of the Central Steering Group to Hubei, the epicentre of COVID-19 in China. He has been engaged in clinical, scientific and educational work of Traditional Chinese Medicine for decades. He is Principal of the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Honorary President of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Honorary President of the Chinese Association of the Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Vice-President of the International Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors, Vice-President of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, Vice-Chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and Deputy Director of the Eleventh Chinese Pharmacopoeia Committee. Professor Liu Qingquan is the Director and Chief Physician for Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Affiliated Hospital for Capital Medical University. He is also the Deputy Leader of the National Expert Group on Joint Prevention and Control of Pneumonia in Response to COVID-19, Chairman of the Emergency Committee of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and President of the Infectious Control Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
