About the Author
Francis Ugboma heads the energy team of a large municipality in London, UK where he oversees energy and carbon-related strategy, the development of infrastructure projects and the operations around low carbon smart district energy systems. His energy services team is one of the most innovative in the UK and a pioneer in municipal sustainability. Mr Ugboma has been involved in developing and financing projects for leading global energy players. He worked on the first integrated LNG to power project in the world from tender to financial close and was instrumental in the structuring of the key financing agreements of the 400 million Euros project. He later secured a 20-year concession agreement for a similar project in West Africa. Mr Ugboma earned a bachelor's degree in civil & environmental engineering from University College London and a master's in business administration from the IESE Business School in Barcelona. He speaks five languages, is an affiliate member of the Energy Institute and a Chartered Engineer (Stage 1).
