Florence Spurling is a British textile designer based in New York, where she runs her own design studio. Florence specializes in knitted textiles, embroidery and embellishment. She has a Masters from the Royal College of Art, London, and has taught at various institutions including Parsons and Pratt in New York.

It covers a wide range of single bed machine knitting techniques and includes inspirational images of knitted samples and garments. The book features technical information explaining how to knit many of the stitches, with clear diagrams and useful tips and hints. I will be recommending this book to all levels, as it has something to offer even the more experienced final year student.
