Description
'This text does make substantial leaps forward in developing theory about dementia care nursing, moving away from polarised approaches to a broader whole systems approach. [It] should succeed in its aim of contributing towards a new understanding of dementia care nursing. Dementia Care Nursing should be essential reading for all nursing involved in care of people with dementia, and an essential item on reading lists for nursing education.' - Margot Lindsay, London Centre for Dementia Care '...this is a valuable resource for nurses wishing to critically consider their approach to working with people with dementia and their families.' - Jenny La Fontaine The Journal of DementiaCare 'The style of the book is accessible and easy to read, while being grounded in theory...this is a very useful book that could inspire and guide good practice, not just among nurses but other caregivers too.' - Ros Levenson, Mental Health Today
