About the Author
Having survived polio as a youngster, Ade Adepitan has since succeeded as an international Paralympic wheelchair basketball player and has built up a wealth of broadcasting experience including appearing on X-Change, Travel Show, Dispatches and Unreported World. Ade supports a plethora of charities including Amnesty International, Unicef and NSPCC and in 2012 he opened the Ade Adepitan Short Break Centre - a community centre in Brent for young people with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. He has recently become a Patron of Rotary International UK and Ireland, supporting the 'Purple4Polio' campaign- fighting to eradicate Polio all over the world

Adepitan's writing is energetic and the black and white illustrations really bring the story to life. The book is full of positivity and is honest about the main characters experience of living with a disability.
