Description

It is not always obvious how to apply control theory to dynamic production systems. Many mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineers are unfamiliar with the special considerations that are involved with production decision making and logistics, such as the fact that the production system models that are available to analyze for control system design are often approximate and must factor in time-delays. At the same time, many manufacturing, production, and industrial engineers are unfamiliar with the ways that tools from the field of control theory can be applied to design smart production systems that dynamically adjust and respond to fluctuations in production variables, ultimately minimizing delays and disruptions. With content that has been chosen and organized to be most relevant to production systems, Control Theory Applications for Dynamic Production Systems explains how core concepts of control theory analysis can be applied to the design of dynamic production systems, with a particular emphasis on means that can be used to address the issue of time-delay. Readers will learn methods and approaches for time response and stability, frequency response, transfer functions and block diagrams, and decision making for closed-loop production systems. The book includes examples that are specifically focused on the different components of production systems and illustrates how to quickly generate practical results using Matlab examples that can also be easily translated into Python.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
