Classroom teachers will find Michelle Manville's resource book an excellent addition to their professional libraries. Her easy-to-follow activities, designed to strengthen student skills in meeting the requirements of the Common Core State Standards, will keep students engaged in learning and enhance the classroom. Manville understands the needs of the classroom teacher, and I highly recommend this CCSS resource. -- Shari Bauman, sixth grade language arts teacher, Riverside Middle School, Elwood, Kansas
I am excited to have Manville's book as a rich resource for my teachers; as we continue our transition to implement CCSS in our district. Teachers will immediately appreciate the multitude of activities, especially as they are asked this year to implement new activities for each under-touched Common Core standard and for standards on which students are under-performing. As the person responsible for curriculum and instruction, I can be confident that Manville's laser-like attention to providing only research-based activities will help ensure success! -- Valerie Jones, MsEd., K-12 curriculum coordinator, East Buchanan C-1 Schools, Gower, Missouri
