Description
Teachers have long been taught to use different strategies: one for behaviour; one for learning. Start with control to get their attention, then move on to the learning. This isn't working. It's time for a change.
Jen Foster brings a new approach - an Unwritten Classroom Code. One that recognises the power of engagement and understands that behaviour and learning cannot, and should not, be separated. It's about harnessing the power of engagement in every lesson to bring childrens' focus to their learning.
Educator Jen Foster delivers practical advice and classroom activities to foster engagement. Explores the research behind what we know about children's learning, outlines why Flow, Play, Drive, Connection and Movement are key in all classrooms.
Engagement: The Unwritten Classroom Code shows you how to bring the power of engagement to your lessons. Engaged children are more focused, more motivated, happier and ready to learn.
