About the Author
Ivan Sokolov was born in Bosnia 1968. He is one of the most flamboyant attacking players of his time, reaching over a period of 13 years, the top 12 spot of the FIDE, the official ranking of the International Chess Organization. He notably has beaten world champions like Kasparov, Kramnik, Anand and Topalov. He is also a successful commentator and writer with bestsellers as "Winning Chess Middlegames", "The Ruy Lopez Revisited", "The Strategic Nimzo-Indian" and "Sacrifice and Initiative", all these books being published by New in Chess. Now he coaches the most promising Dutch & Belgium youth players and being employed to develop the publishing program of Thinkers Publishing.
