Reviews
Every teacher should be fortunate enough to have Maggie Meyer and Jenna Glock as teammates and collaborators. Every principal should be lucky enough to have them on his/her faculty. Since that's not feasible, Celebrate Leadership offers the next best possibility. In this rich book, Maggie and Jenna provide creativity and inspiration, but that's just the beginning. They take an idea that is all too rare in education?that learning should be a celebration?and they show, step-by-step, how it can happen. Multiple intelligences strategies are offered next to websites and rubrics. This book offers a wealth of ideas on goal setting, student assessment, and parent communication, all within the framework of leadership. Studying leadership in this constructivist fashion means that students will not just become knowledgeable about leaders; they will learn to understand leadership.. -- Tom Hoerr Ph.
