Bryony Hill was educated in Sussex and after a year at Brighton College of Art, she spent four years in France after which, on returning to England, she met and eventually married the television sports presenter Jimmy Hill. Bryony has been busy in the kitchen for as long as she can remember and this, her eleventh book, is inspired by her mother who, with boundless patience, showed her how to weave baskets from cane, to make finger puppets from flour and water paste, and most importantly, to cook.
