Description

'This is one of those rare cookbooks where you feel you are stepping into the life of the writer, and a rich and fascinating life it is. A vast range of recipes, collected and curated with love, will ensure you never need have a dull meal again, whether you're making a solo supper or a feast for friends. Meticulously written, with charm and wisdom, this is a must-have on the bookshelf of both seasoned cook and novice' -- Orlando Murrin, President of the Guild of Food Writers, food writer and podcaster Many of us enjoy cultivating our own ingredients and there's so much that can be nurtured in pots on a balcony, a windowsill or by the back door. Bryony's Country Kitchen is a collection of delicious, straightforward recipes designed with your homegrown fare in mind. This is Bryony's personal collection of tasty, seasonal meals that are simple to prepare, no matter your experience in the kitchen. Whilst many of the dishes are plant-based or vegetarian, the book also has plenty of meat, poultry and fish suggestions, to cater for all tastes and occasions. Amongst the soups, salads, savouries and sauces, you'll find simple lists of ingredients and some basic instructions - all you need for culinary success. Liberally peppered with colour plates of her beautiful original paintings, Bryony's Country Kitchen is a stunning addition to any cook's bookshelf.

About the Author
Bryony Hill was educated in Sussex and after a year at Brighton College of Art, she spent four years in France after which, on returning to England, she met and eventually married the television sports presenter Jimmy Hill. Bryony has been busy in the kitchen for as long as she can remember and this, her eleventh book, is inspired by her mother who, with boundless patience, showed her how to weave baskets from cane, to make finger puppets from flour and water paste, and most importantly, to cook. Apart from writing and cooking, Bryony is a keen gardener and painter and many of her stunning, original artwork are available to purchase at bryonyhill.com

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
