Description
About the Author
After graduating with a BSc Honours in Psychology and a PGCE in teaching, Jan Rothney worked with children who were presenting concerns in schools. She then went on to teach and run Behaviour Therapy at a residential school for behavioural difficulties. Jan was subsequently diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E) in 2003, which came as a result of years of post-viral fatigue, other health conditions and living in an unhealthy environment. Jan recovered on her own, but a relapse in 2006 made her realise it wasn't enough to get physically better. She went on to run a clinic for M.E and CFS / PVF and has worked with 1,000 clients to enable them to recover through her Reset to Thrive Recovery Programme.
Reviews
'This book was incredible! It's opened my eyes up about CFS and has given me so much hope/motivation. There is a clear breakdown of what's going on in the body when someone has CFS symptoms, all relating to nervous system regulation/poly vagal theory. There are tools/rewiring techniques, and a whole host of inspiring healing testimonials. She also discusses social defence skills and maintaining health once you're recovered. It's a perfect book for anybody diagnosed with CFS, but the tools work for everyday life as well!'
